Yeah, first painting I've finished in 2008!!  (I know, I know, 2008 is almost over...took me long enough)  Here are some pics of me working on it from earlier this year, and then the finished painting.  If anyone is interested it isn't up on the website yet, I have to get it professionally photographed first, but you can email me.  There has already been some interest in this piece, I took it on the road with me this summer, unfinished.  I painted on it a little while vending.  Painting in front of your booth attracts a bit of attention.



So this painting started as a creative expansion on the idea of the Bubble Garden painting.  Both of these pieces were inspired by getting in the bath and watching the little bubbles of oxygen form on my skin, and by jumping into a cool creek on a hot summer day, the feeling of the air forced into the water with my body swirl up and around me and the cool crisp water touching my skin.  And inspired by imagining what a mermaid's garden might be like, and by all the hours I spent in the pool/lake/river as a kid (and as an adult).

Today some friends and I were talking about how ECW used to be. When we were young it was so different than all the other promotions that were on cable T.V. It would come on a channle where we didn't need cable to see it, then it went to TNN (Spike now) but it was still great and remained to be what it was. A small but great promotion.

I cannot say the same for it now. Yes the ENTERTAINERS on ECW now are good and the few originals that are left are still great to see  but it is definely not the same. I feel that if anything atleast the ECW Championship Title should always be defended under extream rules. I mean come on has the WWE offices forgot that the E in ECW does stand for EXTREAM. What is being put out there as ECW should not be called extream anything. All it is now is a show with what I concider to nothing more than a normal hardcore match. My friends have said that the ECW of today is nothing more than a joke and they feel sorry for the originals that are left in ECW because the company they (the originals) worked so hard to build up is now nothing more than a punch line.

Myself being a fan of pro-wrestling in general will continue to watch but in a way I do agree with my friends.

Tonight while I was putting my son to bed, I started thinking about all the things that I have promised people that I would make. Oh, boy! I think I need to make a list and figure out which ones need to be done first!

My husband's boss asked if I would make somethings to donate to a fundraising craft show to benefit the Kenya Orphanage Project(how can you say no to that!, I still have another backpack to make for a friend of a friend's twins, I need to make gift bags and gifts for my daughter's teachers.........

Times have changed....

When I was a kid, we played outside all day...no cell phones to call home with.  But I think my mother knew where I was most of the time, anyway, as we played with the same kids all the time and alot of time it was with my brothers, also. As long as we were in for dinner, and then could go back out and play till the street lights came on.  I don't every remember it being a big problem!    We played by the railroad tracks near my house! And one day, a circus came to town--my brothers and I helped out at the circus!  (There's no way I would have let MY daughter do that!)   We drank from the garden hose...and survived! We had little painted turtles, now the carries of disease, that lived in plastic dishes with a fake palm tree.    We rode everywhere in cars with no seat belts, and when they were installed in our cars they were generally lost into the gap between the seat and the back of the seat...We rode in the back of my fathers truck!  Hundreds of miles sometimes, when my family went to northern Michigan.  Another thing I would NEVER let my daughter do!   And when we were up north, we played with BB guns--and even worse, we went out into the area where the National Guard practiced every summer and picked up the empty brass shell casings and even some unexploded "duds".  What were we thinking?  We'd find all kinds of fun and exciting stuff that the soldiers left behind....   We didn't even own a key to our house, I don't believe. It was never locked. I'm not sure about the cars, whether they were locked, but I doubt it!  I do remember my father getting his truck stolen as he just left the keys in it.  But it would also start without the key--you just turned the ignition slot and it would start!    We walked to school, rain or shine, every day, and then back home.  No concerns about being "stolen".  No concerns about school shooters, only about fake bomb threats so that everyone could get out of school.   Surprisingly, I don't remember having to go buy cigarettes for my dad at the store.  I don't remember if my brothers did it for him, either, but maybe he just got his own?  It was a long time ago!    Some of the things I did in college--whew! If my daughter did them I would be VERY upset and concerned! Times were different then, I was different then.  That's all that needs to be said!

Hello everyone, how are you? I have question for all of you would you treat some one different if they were gay/lesbain? or whatever because I am really sick and tried of the hate they get its so annoying everyone i think we need to respect them from now one for god sake. this is 2008 and today is world adis day anyways everyone I well always respect people who are like that because thats the kind of person that I am. so what do you think? would you treat them different if they were like that?

Dear Friends: I have encountered serious difficulties at work and I may need to delete my profile for now. I am scared and frightened. I will miss you all, but for the safety of myself and my son, I must say goodbye for while. I will always be "Faith" for that is what I had and maybe all I have left. It is all gone now, because I have lost the "essence" of my work. I may never be the same person I was. I may never work the way I did and I have to tell all you, that I feel lost without this profession, my love, my work.....the reason I thought I was living has come to end. Alright, obviously it's been forever since I've been on but I'm doing my best to keep up and catch up.  So here's a tiny update:

We just took our house off the market after 9 months of unsuccessfully trying to sell it.  Don't get me started.  My oldest is doing great in Kindergarten, my youngest just cut a second tooth.  She's also eating some baby food, drinking water from a cup and loves to stand (with help).  She still wakes up during the night to eat but I'm hoping that now that she's learning to crawl that will phase out. 

I've just recently become a creative consultant for Close To My Heart.  If you need anything feel free to ask, I'm all about helping!  Plus I love the products so I always enjoy sharing ideas.  I had a craft booth at our local Christmas festival and although it was not the raging success I'd hope it would be I refuse to fail at this.  I'll try to post photos soon of both the booth and the products we made. 

And on the fitness front I'm still working off the pregnancy weight.  It's not big deal to be this far post partum and still have excess weight.  I expect it will drop off once I finish nursing but in the mean time I'm working out & eating well and I know I'm getting healthier everyday despite what the scale says.

Mi hijo Bruno, a sus 8 años me ha preguntado si existe o no Santa Claus, le he dicho que solo existe para quienes creen en él. Dice que para serciorarse de que mis palabras son verdad,  le pidió de regalo quedarse despierto hasta poder verlo y que este año él diseñaría el regalo que Santa se lo fabrique, Se la está poniendo dificil al pobre Santa, Le dije que es demasiado tarde, que los juguetes por pedido para fabricar hay que solicitarlos desde Enero o Febrero.  Me preguntó si yo sería capaz de comerme las galletitas, le respondí que a mi ni me gustan las galletas, pero respondió "no te gustan, te encantan", sea como fuere se acaba una bella etapa de su vida, la de la ilusión, la de la inocencia, la de creer ciegamente en lo que dice su padre.

Si apenas ayer te arrullaba dormido  entre mis brazos hijo mio, si hace tan poco que me sorprendiste cuando tu primer palabra fue papá, si todavia no me hago a la idea de que has crecido, antier te cambiaba los pañales y ayer te paseaba en mis juguetes.  Tu  me has regalado junto con tu hermano la dicha de volver a creer en la navidad, de pensar en cosas bonitas en estos dias y de ver en una sonrisa el regalo mas grande que Dios me pudo dar.
